Turf is used in gardens, on golf courses, on other lawned areas… it has many uses and there is nothing quite like a beautiful, green garden in the summer months. Different types of turf will serve different purposes, so choose the right one for your needs.
- 1. General turf. Usually used for gardens, this is easy to lay and will settle in quickly. It has a lovely bright colour and is quite resistant to damage. Make sure it gets watered enough in summer.
- 2. Shade tolerant turf. As the name suggests, this is ideal for growing in shady areas. It isn’t as tough and will be a little paler in colour, so only choose this option if a whole lawn area is in shade.
- 3. Tough turf. Choose this for play areas and parks. It will withstand lots of footfall much better.
- 4. Artificial turf. This requires little maintenance and will look good all year round.
